The Bremen J. Anderson Memorial Fund
for
Entrepreneurial Advancement
The Bremen J. Anderson Memorial Fund for Entrepreneurial Studies has
been established to honor the life, the spirit and the memory of Bremen (BJ)
Anderson. BJ lived his life with distinction! His love for people, for
enterprise, and for making a difference in the world symbolized the purpose of
his life. His pursuit of excellence, in all forms, remains an inspiration to
all who were blessed to know him. He embodied what few ever encounter: a love
for family, a passion for results, an appreciation for effort, and an
understanding of circumstance to help others achieve their very best. Both
personally and professionally, he truly lived by his heart and led by example,
empowering others through his entrepreneurial success to achieve things that
they never thought possible. His was a mission of taking risks and sharing the
reward. He left all with a deeper appreciation for the individual potential in
all of us and inspired to take the initiative to achieve our dreams. This fund
is established to honor those characteristics of BJ's entrepreneurial spirit
that have touched so many lives. Presented annually to a graduating senior from
BJ's high school, Oyster River High School in Durham, New Hampshire, this award
will recognize the passion, the initiative and the compassion of a person
interested in pursuing their studies with the same entrepreneurial spirit that
BJ pursued his life.
10/4/2002 – Update
The JT Bruder / BJ Anderson Memorial Golf Tournament was held with many if BJ’s Sigma Nu fraternity brothers in attendance. It was a great time had by all on the golf course, and then later at the nearby home of Jeff Foy. This was a Second Annual event, and this year BJ’s name was added. Money raised is to be used at some future time and the emphasis was on just getting together to remember BJ and JT. Here is a picture of the group:

11/21/2002 – Update
This fund will soon
become a component of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation or NHCF. The NHCF
manages funds making administration of the effort much simpler than managing it
as its own entity. We expect to begin the foundation’s operation some time in
2003, but until that time, donated funds are under the management of the NHCF,
and in good hands. We would also like to thank all of you who donated so
generously, which has allowed us to have the capability to take advantage of
the NHCF in the first place. Here is a link to NHCF: www.nhcf.org
